He was born on August 17, 1903 in the village of Čukojevac, near Kraljevo. He graduated in pedagogy in 1959 at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Belgrade. He was a member of the initiative committees for the founding of the Museum in 1942 and 1948, that is, the main inspirer and author of the program vision of the institution. After the founding of the National Museum Kraljevo in 1950, Milorad Jović became the first director, and with his work he laid a solid foundation for the creation and development of a museum institution of a complex type. His dedicated work gives a stamp to the first decade of the institution’s work. He retired in 1960, and died on June 21, 1970 in Belgrade.
