The fertile plain and the encounters of cultures, followed by settling, the proverbial tolerance and togetherness of Vojvodina turned the carrying poles into another witness of how simply does the beautiful, good and useful flow into the cultural inventory of neighbors and friend. Romanian and Hungarian folk culture gave the Serbian population the practice of painting carrying poles as well as decorative colored compositions on them. In Vojvodina, wrought iron heads are also added to these traditionally entirely wooden tools.
