Is there Life After Death by Radoš Antonijević, 2012.

Radoš Antonijević is an artist of the middle generation who was educated and matured in the medium of sculpture. His works created in the past fifteen years represent one of the most impressive works of local artists. The questions that the artist asks are related to: contemporary moment, circumstances, place, past, “undoubted values”, absolute, eternal, faith, power, truth, etc. Such a narrative and metaphor is carried by the work “Is there life after death”. Physically, it represents a “metal table on which it is generated from the architectural form of a church with two domes and two crosses”, metaphorically it raises questions of faith, truth, finality, hope… Radoš Antonijević was born in 1969 in Pančevo. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 1997, received his master’s degree in 2000 and works at the same faculty as a professor. He teaches sculpture part-time at the Academy of Arts in Banja Luka since 2000. He defended his doctoral thesis “Correctives of Shape – A Guide to Sculptural Phenomena” in 2014. He lives and works in Belgrade.
