Talir of Archbishop Lothar Metternich, 1610, Germany

On the obverse is a figure of Saint Peter, moving to the left, in an open “pearl” circle. He is holding the key to the city in his right hand and the Bible in his left. Around the open pearl circle is the inscription: LOTHARI, D: G.ARCPS. – .TREVEN.PR.ELECTOR. Everything is in a closed “pearl” circle. On the reverse, in the open “pearl” circle, there is a coat of arms and the year of minting is 16 – 10. Around the open pearl circle is the inscription: + MONETA + NOVA + ARGENTEA + CONFLVENTINA. Everything is in a closed “pearl” circle. The money was found in the village of Sirča near Kraljevo, in the area where the Austrian Turkish border was located.
