Petar Stojanović, a Serbian composer and performer, was extremely recognized on the international scene. There is no doubt that his style of composing, which largely relied on the late Romantics and Central European cultural values, contributed to his success outside the borders of his country. Would he be more popular in his homeland as a more persistent follower of the national school? Today, this issue is even more complex, and Aleksandar Sedlar, as a composer who also studied abroad, has the opportunity to provide his views on issues related to European heritage, the influence of late romanticism on today’s work and the place of Serbian chamber music within these parameters.
