As part of hosting the exhibition “Green and Black: Story of Tea”, there will be a lecture of the same name by Desa Đorđević Milutinović, PhD, museum advisor of the Museum of Natural History Museum in Belgrade and author of the exhibition. The lecture includes a review of the etymology of the word tea, the history of this beverage and its journey from China, further east to Asia, and west to Europe, as well as an overview of the most famous types of black and green teas. The lecture provides a lot of simple and interesting information about the preparation of tea, about which very few people here know, and which is actually very easy to learn and apply.
At the lecture, you can learn: how to prepare English breakfast, one of the most famous teas, and how to recognize it; who was Earl Gray, after whom one of the best teas in the world was named; which is why jasmine tea has no jasmine in it; why tea was never drunk in India before the 19th century, and why five o’clock tea became a cult event.
