Žiča Spiritual Assembly “Transfiguration 2024” is an important cultural event whose goal is to nurture, study and affirm the values of our national culture. The program of the Assembly begins with the opening ceremony at the National Museum Kraljevo, where the mayor of Kraljevo, Predrag Terzić, PhD, will address the audience. On this occasion, two exhibitions of respected national cultural institutions are opening: “Inspired by Italy” of the Gallery of Matica Srpska in Novi Sad, which will be opened by Snežana Mišić, PhD, museum advisor and Head of the Collections Department of the Matica Srpska Gallery and “Cities: A Certain View. From the Collection of Graphics by Foreign Authors of the National Museum of Serbia”, which will be opened by Bojana Borić Brešković, MA, director of the National Museum of Serbia. The National Museum Kraljevo organizes this year an international scientific meeting called “Publications in the Development of Society and State IV: Public Speech of Public Figures” during the second and third day of the event, August 17th-18th. The crown of the event was the awarding of the “Žiča Chrisobull” to the poet laureate at the Transfiguration, August 19th, in the dining room of the Žiča Monastery. The winner of “Žiča Chrisobull” for 2024 is the poet Miroslav Cera Mihailović.
