SUMMARY:46th Children's May Art Salon
DESCRIPTION:The most important and traditionally oldest exhibition of children’s art in our city is being organized this year for the 46th time\, but for the first time since its founding after a one-year break. Namely\, in 2020\, due to the “kovid 19” virus pandemic\, the National Museum Kraljevo was closed to the public and the event was absent. The Children’s May Art Salon\, according to its rules\, implies the participation of elementary school students from 5th to 8th grade from the territory of the City of Kraljevo. The exhibition is of a competitive nature\, and awards are given to children\, but also to pedagogues who followed their work. The cooperation of the Museum’s curator with the teachers\, established at the beginning and during the participation in the competition\, is important for the final result that we see in the final exhibition. The primary selection\, ie judging for the exhibition\, is performed by art pedagogues\, whose selection of works is evaluated by the expert jury of the Museum by awarding the prize for the best selection of student works and the prize for the most successful school in the field of art education. In addition to the 9 equal awards that are given to the most creative and technically most successfully performed works\, a special award is given to the art historian\, the founder of this event\, named “Milorad Mihailović”.

SUMMARY:Concert of Trio „Nexus“
DESCRIPTION:Program \nAleksandar Sedlar: Trio no. 1 (premiere) \nPetar Stojanović (1877-1957): Piano trio for piano\, violin and cello in C major Op. 16 (premiere) \nModerate assai \nAllegro-Trio (Moderato quasi Andantino) \nModerato quasi Allegretto-Andantino \nAllegro \nPetar Stojanović\, a Serbian composer and performer\, was extremely recognized on the international scene. There is no doubt that his style of composing\, which largely relied on the late Romantics and Central European cultural values\, contributed to his success outside the borders of his country. Would he be more popular in his homeland as a more persistent follower of the national school? Today\, this issue is even more complex\, and Aleksandar Sedlar\, as a composer who also studied abroad\, has the opportunity to provide his views on issues related to European heritage\, the influence of late romanticism on today’s work and the place of Serbian chamber music within these parameters.

SUMMARY:Jovana Banjanac – Post
DESCRIPTION:Jovana Banjanac (1988) is an artist from Kraljevo\, who graduated from the Art School in Niš (2007)\, and then bachelor and master’s studies in wall painting at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade (2013). She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions. She won the second prize at the November Salon 2016. Her works can be found in: Art collection Telekom / Digital Art (Germany)\, National Museum Kraljevo\, Cultural Center Pančevo\, Radix collection (Belgrade). From her earliest works\, done in classical media (oils on canvas and drawings)\, through digital graphics\, objects and installations\, there is a noticeable preoccupation with internet communication and its aesthetics. More precisely\, the author creates and intervenes in the field of social networks and digital culture\, as a basis for researching first artistic values\, and then all other challenges of the global community. From the first works\, called “Street View”\, through the series “Repetiton” and “Add to Your Story”\, Jovana is interested in the relationship between man and digital culture\, his needs and (dis)satisfaction because he becomes part of this privileged narrative. Her awareness of networks as a utopian reality grows into a critical and exploratory relationship\, in which she probes “new” values that connect\, redefine and influence the shaping of the public and the private. Facebook\, Instagram\, likes\, search and scrolling become networked sets of information that\, with a superficial and frivolous relationship\, grow into one clumsy technoorganism\, and it significantly affects man and his environment. However\, from one such relationship\, one can\, and in the end should\, come to enlightenment\, transformation. It is in this direction that new works by Jovana Banjanac called “Post” are being created. From the mentioned internet fund\, the artist will start researching digital tools\, databases\, an unlimited range of images and content in order to come to research and interpretation of micro and macro ecosystems\, dealing with the immediate environment\, nature and future survival. The ideas of composting and recycling are in the focus of her research\, which proves this new paradigm in art\, which shows awareness of inevitable changes and its identification with social practice\, as well as the potential to shape and change society and social circumstances in which it arises. Curator of the exhibition and author of the text Suzana Novčić\, museum advisor

SUMMARY:The Family of Nadežda Petrović through the 19th Century
DESCRIPTION:The author of the monograph “The Family of Nadežda Petrović through the 19th Century” Dragana Božinović\, will acquaint the audience with the rich intellectual development that the family of Nadežda Petrović achieved through three generations during the 19th century. The connection of Nadežda and her family with Karanovac / Kraljevo\, where the artist lived in the period 1879-1884\, will be especially emphasized. The program will begin with the performance of the students of the newly founded Youth Theater “Morava Theater” from Čačak called “With Hope through Time”. It is a dramatically revived story from the life of the Petrović family\, in which one of the days before Nadežda’s departure for school in Munich at the end of 1898 is vividly shown. “With Hope through Time” is a dramatic educational program designed by Dragana Božović\, and directed by the actor Vladimir Jocović\, who also started the Youth Theater “Morava Theater”. \n
