SUMMARY:Jovana Banjanac – Post
DESCRIPTION:Jovana Banjanac (1988) is an artist from Kraljevo\, who graduated from the Art School in Niš (2007)\, and then bachelor and master’s studies in wall painting at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade (2013). She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions. She won the second prize at the November Salon 2016. Her works can be found in: Art collection Telekom / Digital Art (Germany)\, National Museum Kraljevo\, Cultural Center Pančevo\, Radix collection (Belgrade). From her earliest works\, done in classical media (oils on canvas and drawings)\, through digital graphics\, objects and installations\, there is a noticeable preoccupation with internet communication and its aesthetics. More precisely\, the author creates and intervenes in the field of social networks and digital culture\, as a basis for researching first artistic values\, and then all other challenges of the global community. From the first works\, called “Street View”\, through the series “Repetiton” and “Add to Your Story”\, Jovana is interested in the relationship between man and digital culture\, his needs and (dis)satisfaction because he becomes part of this privileged narrative. Her awareness of networks as a utopian reality grows into a critical and exploratory relationship\, in which she probes “new” values that connect\, redefine and influence the shaping of the public and the private. Facebook\, Instagram\, likes\, search and scrolling become networked sets of information that\, with a superficial and frivolous relationship\, grow into one clumsy technoorganism\, and it significantly affects man and his environment. However\, from one such relationship\, one can\, and in the end should\, come to enlightenment\, transformation. It is in this direction that new works by Jovana Banjanac called “Post” are being created. From the mentioned internet fund\, the artist will start researching digital tools\, databases\, an unlimited range of images and content in order to come to research and interpretation of micro and macro ecosystems\, dealing with the immediate environment\, nature and future survival. The ideas of composting and recycling are in the focus of her research\, which proves this new paradigm in art\, which shows awareness of inevitable changes and its identification with social practice\, as well as the potential to shape and change society and social circumstances in which it arises. Curator of the exhibition and author of the text Suzana Novčić\, museum advisor

SUMMARY:Transfigurations – 30 Years of the Žiča Spiritual Assembly
DESCRIPTION:The great jubilee of the Žiča Spiritual Assembly was the reason for organizing the exhibition “Transfigurations – 30 Years of the Žiča Spiritual Assembly”\, whose authors are MA Ana Gvozdenovic\, editor for essays and criticism of the National Library “Stefan Prvovenčani” Kraljevo and Mirjana Savic\, museum advisor of the National Museum Kraljevo. The exhibition will be opened by Dragan Hamović\, PhD. The event was launched with the aim of nurturing\, studying and affirming the authentic values of national culture back in 1992\, when in Kraljevo there was a need to overcome the cruelty of time and transform society with the messianic power of spirituality. Continuing and developing\, the event retained the supporting elements of the 1992 program with a fine artistic and layered scientific superstructure. The power of words and verses has gained worthy companions in the contents from the field of humanities and various branches of art\, which from the very beginning\, with their themes and significance\, have greatly outgrown the local framework. The authors of the exhibition themselves say about their goals: \nThe intention of the author of the exhibition was to take you through three decades of the existence of the Žiča Spiritual Assembly\, remind you of its program contents and once again refer to the poetry of the winner of the “Žiče Chrysobull”. Transmitting some of their verses and excerpts from autopoetic texts and Transfiguration sermons\, we wanted to remind you of the beauty of the poetic word and the often-forgotten power of language. Because\, as Nebojša Bradić\, then Minister of Culture in the Government of the Republic of Serbia\, emphasized at the opening of the Manifestation in 2009\, “culture is a constant transformation of ourselves and the community we make” and “only those people who hear their poetry are recognizable in geography and written in history”.

SUMMARY:Our Fellow Citizen Queen Draga – Between Glory and Anathema
DESCRIPTION:Her story\, even without creative intervention resembles a script that any theater or film director would want. From there\, the Museum of the Rudnik-Takovo Region in Gornji Milanovac paid attention to its famous fellow citizen\, the granddaughter of Nikola Milićević Lunjević\, the educated\, but extreme Queen Draga\, who changed the Serbian historical scene. The authors of the exhibition\, senior curators Ana Ranković and Aleksandar Marušić\, presented the sad historical moment of the May coup\, but they tried to show all other aspects of Draga Obrenović’s life – whose part of life took place in Kraljevo and who is therefore our fellow citizen. \nThe life of a beautiful and well-read woman from Rudnica\, who marries early in obedience to her father’s will to the detriment of girls’ dreams\, becomes a widow early and after the death of her parents takes care of her younger sisters and brothers. The affection and love of the young Serbian king was a kind of compensation for premature life misfortunes. The current pleasure of the royal life ended with a bloody end\, which also marked the end of the Obrenović era. Such a life\, or at least one of its segments\, is more than suitable to be transferred to a celluloid tape\, a novel\, or an exhibition. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Queen Natalie Obrenović\, Historical Collection of the Museum of Rudnik and Takovo Region (I-1180).\n \n \n \n \n \n Business card of the court lady Draga Mašin\, Historical Collection of the Museum of Rudnik and Takovo Region (I-33).\n \n \n \n \n \n Medalion with the photograph of King Alexander Obrenović\, Historical Collection of National Museum Kragujevac (I-189).\n \n \n \n \n \n Sugar bowl of Queen Draga\, Historical Collection of the National Museum Kragujevac (I-13).\n \n \n \n \n \n Wedding photograph of King Alexander and Queen Draga by Milan Jovanović\, 1900\, Belgrade\, Historical Collection of the Museum of Rudnik and Takovo Region (I-72).\n \n \n \n \n \n Queen Draga by Paja Jovanović\, 1901\, oil on canvas\, 230 x 110 cm\, Collection of Serbian 18th and 19th Century Paintings of the National Museum in Belgrade (NM-1092).\n \n \n \n \n \n Queen Draga in Serbian medieval royal costume\, German correspondence card\, Collection of S.
