The fossil of this cancer (Arthropoda, Decapoda, Carpopenaeidae) is extremely well preserved (the so-called Lagerstätte type of preservation) in a fine-grained limestone matrix and originates from some of the Cretaceous (145,000,000 to 66,000,000 years ago) localities in Lebanon.
