On the obverse the bust of the emperor is depicted with a helmet and armor. In his right hand he is holding a globe (ball) with a cross, in his left a shield. The inscription flows around: DN IVSTINI – ANVS PP AVC. On the reverse the representation of Victoria is depicted in a stepping forward, holding a cross on a long handle with her right hand, and a globe with a cross in her left. The text flows around: VICTORI – AAVCCCE. The section bears the mintmark: CONOB (Constantinople).
