The original, extremely beautiful photograph of Queen Natalie in a frame can be seen at the exhibition “Our Fellow Citizen Queen Draga, Between Glory and Anathema”. Queen Natalie Obrenović, Princess (1875 – 1882) and Queen of Serbia (1882 – 1888), wife of King Milan Obrenović and mother of King Alexander, is in a special way connected with the fate of Queen Draga. After her divorce from King Milan and after his abdication in 1889, Queen Natalie was expelled from Serbia in June 1891 and took her court lady, Draga Mašin, with her. They lived in a villa called Sasino in Biarritz, France, where the love story between the heir to the throne and a court lady in the service of his mother began. The wedding of her son and the King of Serbia in 1900, with a court lady who was intended only for the role of mistress, brought her severe disappointment, and she suffered the greatest blow on May 29, 1903, when her son was killed.
