Cup, first third of the 19th century, Central Europe

Conical cup with a wide opening has a gilded handle stylized florally, which crosses the rim high and ends in the form of a volute with a flower in the middle. The golden line emphasizes the transition to the conical foot, which is decorated with a series of oval depressions. The entire surface of the cup is decorated with gilded floral motifs, including garlands of oak leaves, while the edge of the rim is accentuated with a gilded line on the outside and a wide line on the inside. On the front, in a medallion painted pink, there is an inscription in German “Zum Namenstag” (for the name day). The letter S is stamped on the inside of the foot.
