Ring, 14th century, Church of the Holy Virgin, Gradac Monastery

The bronze ring was found as a gravestone during the research of the nave, more precisely the altar space of the Church of the Mother of God in the Gradac Monastery, which was conducted by the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments of Serbia in 2009. The ring has a flat head on which is engraved a representation of a horseman with a spear, while a massive link is decorated with a combination of geometric and floral motifs. The representation was summarized, which points to one of the local workshops. The finding is additionally significant because it was found within the grave in the very altar space of the Church of the Mother of God.
