Still Life by Miodrag Rogić, 1976.

Rogić is distinguished by the emancipation of his art from those norms in which there is always a greater or lesser dose of fetishism of the artistic act. He is special for the thematic and plastic constitution of his works completely devoid of narratives. Painter and graphic artist Miodrag Rogić was born in 1932 in Belgrade. He worked as a professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts from 1961 to 1988. He is a member of Association of Fine Artists of Serbia. He won the award for graphics and painting of the October Salon, the October Award of the City of Belgrade, the award “Big Seal of the Graphic Collective”, the award for lifetime contribution to graphic art, as well as Politika’s award for fine arts.
