Lojanik is a unique paleobotanical site where fossil remains of silicified, petrified wood have been discovered. It was designated a scientific research reserve in 1963. Archaeological investigations conducted between 2016 and 2022 unequivocally confirmed the mining concept of raw material extraction at Lojanik, spanning from the Paleolithic (Old Stone Age) to the Neolithic (New Stone Age).
The monograph “Miomir Vukobratović: Pioneer of Robotics” was created with the intention of systematically illuminating in one place the life, scientific work, and intellectual legacy of the Serbian scientist whose contribution to world robotics is indisputable, but who for a long time remained insufficiently known to the domestic public. At the promotion of the twenty-second issue of the scientific and professional journal of the National Museum Kraljevo and the Historical Archives Kraljevo, Gordana Gavrić, Uroš Šešum, PhD and Miloš Matić, PhD will present their works, while Tatjana Mihailović, PhD, editor of the journal “Our Past”, will speak about the issue as a whole.
The book “Marriage in Modern Serbia” represents a significant historiographical study that sheds light on the institution of marriage in Serbia during the 19th 19. and 20th centuries – in the period of the formation of the modern state and society. The author examines marriage through the complex influences of the state, church, social norms, and individual choices, pointing to its key role in shaping everyday life.
The exhibition “Saint Sava: 850 Years with Us” consists of 80 awarded and commended children’s works submitted to the competition announced by the sisterhood of the Žiča Monastery on the occasion of the 850th anniversary of the birth of Saint Sava, the first Serbian archbishop.
The most significant and oldest exhibition of children's art in our city is being held for the 51st time in a row, as a result of a successfully implemented competition. The aim of organizing the Children's May Art Salon is to highlight the importance of art education, to value the work of individual art teachers and to recognize the creative potential of students by presenting the most successful works created in school classes. This year the theme was free.
