The holster is a type of firearm with a flintlock mechanism, which is filled with gunpowder and fired once from the hand. Workshops for the production of these weapons have been developed in southern Serbia and Kosovo and Metohija. This specimen from the Historical Collection has a narrow-curved handle with a pointed apple, which, like the lower part of the tube, is chained with brass decorated with geometric and floral motifs. The tube is smooth and reinforced at the top with two brass rings. The holsters were worn in a wide belt – strong, single or in pairs and were an obligatory part of the insurgents’ personal weapons.
