In the decoration of carrying poles as a special ornamental composition, floral motifs can be observed. Differently decorated patterns, sometimes called “kitež”, can represent a branched tree, intertwined branches or flowers. Most of the floral motifs, in their full capacity, are found in the wider area of Eastern Serbia, where this distinctive example of a frame decorated in this way also originates.
