51st Children’s May Art Salon

The ceremonial opening of the exhibition of selected works submitted to the competition of the 51st Children’s May Art Salon will be held in the Gallery of the National Museum Kraljevo, on Thursday, May 21st, 2026, at 12 p.m.
This traditional manifestation, dedicated to encouraging children’s artistic creativity, has once again gathered many works by talented pupils from the 5th to the 8th grades of elementary schools in the territory of the city of Kraljevo.
Since the theme of the competition was free, the pupils had the opportunity to express their imagination, creativity, and artistic expression through various art techniques and individual approaches.
The jury, consisting of Milica Dukić, Master of Fine Arts, Zlatan Gračanac, Master of Applied Arts – sculptor, and painter Milica Gračanac, PhD Arts, met on April 28th, 2026, and selected the works for exhibition, as well as decided on the awarding of prizes to the most successful participants.
The Children’s May Art Salon,founded in 1974, represents one of the most significant and longest‑standing manifestations dedicated to children’s artistic creativity, with the aim of emphasizing importance of art education and recognizing the creative potential of young people.
