The promotion of the journal “Our Past 20”, the scientific and professional newsletter of the National Museum Kraljevo and the Historical Archives Kraljevo, was held in the Gallery of the National Museum Kraljevo, on Friday, November 25th, 2022, starting at 6 p.m. At the beginning, Darko Gučanin, director of the National Museum Kraljevo, greeted audience and the participants of the promotion. After that, the audience was addressed by Tatjana Mihailović, museum advisor of the National Museum Kraljevo and editor of the journal “Our Past”,

She referred to the total number of ten papers: four general studies in the field of archaeology and history, two papers in the field of museology and heritology, two papers from the field of anthropology, as well as two papers that present the material. In addition, issue 20 includes three contributions: in memoriam and two book reviews. As the editor, she referred to the In memoriam to professor Zoran Gavrić, PhD, a prominent art historian and theoretician, as well as to the paper in the field of archaeology by Dejan S. Radosavljević and Jelena M. Vukčević, titled “Church Location in Ljubostinja Prnjavor near Trstenik”.

Aleksandra Vuletić, PhD, senior research associate of the Institute of History in Belgrade, presenting a paper from the history of the 19th century at the promotion of the journal “Our Past 20” in the Gallery of the National Museum Kraljevo.

Aleksandra Vuletić, PhD, senior research associate of the Institute of History in Belgrade, presented the paper by Nemanja Trifunović “Deeds as a Source for Local History: Example of Deeds from the Historical Collection of the National Museum Kraljevo”, as well as the paper by Jasminka Marković “Monographic Publications of the Historical Archives Kraljevo (1966-2020)”. She also referred to the display of the two last books of the recently deceased Slavoljub Maržik “Kraljevo in the Serbian Press 1904-1908” and “Kraljevo in the Serbian Press 1909-1918”, which the National Museum Kraljevo published during 2021 and 2022, which rounded off the opus of four books by this author, which was also the reason for launching the scientific conference “Publications in the Development of Society and State”, which started in 2021 as a three-year project.

Historiographic papers, which relate to the history of the Second World War and the period of socialism, were presented by Milutin Živković, PhD, research associate of the Institute for Contemporary History in Belgrade. First a paper by Miloš Timotijević, PhD, “Blood Among Brothers”: Writing of the Collaborationist Press About Crime in the Villages of Occupied Serbia in 1941”, second by Dušan Popović “Contribution to the Research of the Work of the Yugoslav Secret Service in Old Raška II, The Trial of Milun Đurović and Rajko Ilić in 1947”, third by Jovan Simijanović “The Legacy of Miroslav Dabić: Contribution to the Study of the History of Raška Region” and fourth by Miloš Čorbić “Analysis of Foreign Trade Relations Between Yugoslavia and the USSR in the Period 1965-1969.”

Milana Popadić, professor at the Seminar for Museology and Heritology of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Belgrade, presenting papers from the field of anthropology and heritology at the promotion of the journal “Our Past 20” in the Gallery of the National Museum Kraljevo.

Milan Popadić, PhD, professor at the Seminar for Museology and Heritology of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Belgrade, spoke about the papers in the field of anthropology and heritology. He presented the paper by Jovan Mladenović “Cemetery of Those Shot in Kraljevo by the Architect Spasoje Krunić: From Project to Place of Memory”, then Vojkan Trifunović “Skinheads Movement in Kraljevo” and Sofija Pršić “Perception of Classical Music in the Narratives of High School Students from Kraljevo: An Anthropological Analysis”. At the end of the promotion, Tatjana Mihailović, the editor of the journal “Our Past”, referred to the fact that this issue of the journal, published as the third in a row after a two-year break, when publication lost its points, was returned to the list of scientific magazines in the M53 categorization.
