The regular December Assembly of the National Committee of ICOM Serbia, which was also an election for several positions in the bodies and committees of the National Committee of ICOM Serbia, was held on December 14th, 2023 in the National Museum of Serbia. On this occasion, Tatjana Mihailović, museum advisor of the National Museum Kraljevo, was elected as the president of the National Committee of ICOM Serbia.

Tatjana Mihailović (1964) graduated in archaeology from the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Belgrade (1988). In the National Museum Kraljevo, where she started working in 1991, she earned the title of curator (1992), senior curator (2002) and museum advisor (2010).

In 1991, she founded the Documentation Department of the National Museum Kraljevo, which she led until 2006, within which she implemented a complete reorganization of the central documentation forms, started the process of computerization of the institution and, within it, digitization of documentation. She worked on the improvement of museum practice, as well as on the museological education of colleagues and associates, and as a museum advisor she was a mentor to curators for higher positions. In the field of theory of museology and heritology, in addition to documentation, she deals with the problems of interpretation of archaeological heritage in order to create a more communicative museum narrative, including the development of workshops for children. Since 2006, she has been leading the Archaeology Department of the National Museum Kraljevo and has been in charge of research in the field of Antiquity and the Middle Ages, and is focused on the research of old mining, metallurgy and archaeology.She is a participant in several research projects and numerous scientific meetings and seminars. Since 2013, she has been coordinating and managing the Studenica Monastery Treasury Arrangement project, which is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia. She is engaged in editorial work: since 2019, editor of the journal “Our Past”, the scientific and professional newsletter of the National Museum Kraljevo and the Historical Archive Kraljevo; from 2020-2023, she was the editor-in-chief of the journal of the National Committee of ICOM of Serbia; since 2020, she is the editor-in-chief of the Official Internet Presentation of the National Museum Kraljevo. She is a member of the Serbian Archaeological Society (1985), the Serbian Museum Association (2001) and the National Committee of ICOM (2001). Since 2011, she has been an associate of the Center for Museology and Heritology of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Belgrade.
